The trees were naked! They were gone! Ahhh, but DogFaced Girl and i followed a double track of one of the heavy CN vehicles and there they were, snarled up on the ground.

Can't remember which trees they came from. Dropped them both in the onion skin dyepot and was very happy with the results.

In February I think I'll take it down and rinse it out.  And then I'll re-wrap and leave it there through the summer. Still holding on, but no color. Below is the callistemon with it’s damask cloth wrapping, there is colour, mostly from left over dye water, I seem unable to just throw it away, so I pour it over the wraps.  There is also some mould appearing on this one, we have had lots of rain, this being our wet season, something which it is living up to this year..

Firstly i removed this wrap from one of my yard trees as it has so much sooty mould and the tree is so wet from all the rain that i thought it might be hazardous to keep it on. It looks good i think, like marbled paper only with just black, no colour.  This is the whole tree pretty much that I wrapped. We had some rain recently but only about two days worth. So I'm not sure how wet it actually got and I don't really see too many changes. Or any really except that it has attracted a bug or some debris. No exciting fungus .. darn. ha ha.

My grandmother's linen sheets are holding up well...they're still pristine white. however this fungus caught under one wrapping has decided to grow right on through. Hooker's Willow(Salix hookeriana)

The trees I've chosen are all native to the island where I live and each is growing wild (vs. a cultivated garden specimen).  All the fabric is recycled, found, or from the secondhand stores.
