Tammy - My wraps unwrapped

I finally got to this. I have just had too much difficulty getting back into the swing of things but .. i'll get there. I have enjoyed seeing everyones work and colors or lack of colors. Most of all I have enjoyed seeing everyone's blogs. All of you are wonderfully talented women with unique qualities of creativity. Thanks for letting me be a part of this.

Ok I got out today because yes .. I am pleased to say that the weather was in the 70's today. I am so so so happy to have this warmer weather. I am very much looking forward to the summer even though we are just now in spring. I have to say my wraps had very very little change and thats ok. It's all part of the experiment.

Above is the first main tree that I wrapped. It didnt get much change.
To the left is the one that was on the crepe myrtle. Something apparently wanted to eat it. I'm thinking maybe birds or moths.

Below is the big Oak tree that had a little moss on it. The colors that are on this cloth are primarily dirt. I am sure it will wash out but I wanted to photograph it in this way. Either way I love the look of the photo.
Thanks for looking.

Yeah .. it looks the like the area that had the most impact. I am pretty certain that the dirt will wash out. But your right. I will either over dye or cover a portion of it with clear acrylic and paint white on it. Something about white on white that I'm recently attracted too.

we're all a little wiser now about what wrapped trees will and what won't colour up.
thanks for showing us Tammy.

Looking at your results Tammy, especially the magical photo of the big oak tree, I had a thought: the art that you make by using your walnut ink/dye to create some of the most amazing trees that I have ever seen, well why not use some of your walnut dye/ink to paint the trees that you wrapped right on the wrapt cloths. The markings on your cloths may be faint, and may wash out but the thing is there is a connection from all of these months, a spirit woven into the cloth. You have a special gift for creating trees and by creating the trees right on the cloth, their spirit and yours unite...

Thanks Marti, I like the idea and before I read it I had stuck two of the cloths into the walnut bath on the stove which is cooking just now. I don't know what it is but there is something so divinely wonderful about the smell of the walnuts cooking. I've been recooking these walnuts for a long time now .. and am still amazed at how much I can still get from them. I sure don't wish to rush the seasons but I will be so happy when I can get my hands on some newly grown walnuts. Either way .. thanks for the thoughts on how the spirit of the tree is now infused into the fabric. I like the thought of that.
